Assessment
A range of clinical assessments is available, including but not limited to:
· Assessment of emotional, intellectual and behavioural functioning (adults)
· Assessment of psychosocial factors associated with medical conditions and/or pain
· Pre-surgical psychological screening assessments
· Pre-adoption assessments (N.T. only)
· Victims of Crime assessments (N.T. only)
· Assessment of Adjustment to Illness or work disability
· Assessment and diagnosis of mental illness (adults)
· Personality assessment
· Return to work assessment
· Pain management needs assessment
The process of assessment is comprehensive and may involve:
· the completion of questionnaires or other psychological test activities,
· an interview exploring historical and current functioning
· review of other reports or records where indicated
· gathering of information from relevant others (teachers, employers, family members) where indicated
CPAC accepts requests for assessments from individuals, employers, insurers and for compensation or civil matters. Referrers are requested to provide clear and specific referral questions to be answered in the psychological report.
